There’s a man I’ve been sleeping with
these past couple of weeks.
          Black headed
            Burly.
Fucking
not in the mind,
only in the bed.

But last Sunday
after I passed out
from the pot,
the exertion,
I can’t remember which.
Among the ripples
of satin sheets
he dropped

twenty

            forty

                        sixty dollars

I eyed it as I fixed myself in the bathroom
to go push sweaters at GAP.
and damn,
I wanted to take it,
to tuck it into my tight underwear

but the trick was,
couldn’t.
